Our Savannah Dental Staff

At Savannah Periodontics, our team members are like family and you can feel the chemistry and comfortable environment when you walk in the door.  These positive working relationships allow us to focus on you, and maintain the highest quality of care in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. We understand that periodontal problems can be frightening, but as caring professionals, our job is to guide you through the process with compassion, comfort and ease. Elizabeth “Beth”
Office Manager

Beth has worked in dentistry since 1995, and joined our practice in 2008. She loves meeting people, and making them feel at home. She has a varied career working in the medical field for Pediatric Associates, and for a marketing company that helped dentists generate business before starting her work here. She’s a native of Minot, ND, graduated from Hempstead High School in Dubuque, IA, and completed her studies at Rose State College in Dell City, OK. Outside the office, Beth has one child who she loves to spoil, and enjoys cooking and drawing. Beth has participated in 2 half marathons, and is currently training for a 3rd.

Amber
Registered Dental Assistant

Amber has worked as a dental assistant since 2010, and joined our practice in late 2014. She loves having the opportunity to help patients improve their smile. She studied dental assisting at Front Range Community College. For four years, Amber assisted in a general dentistry practice, and transitioned into periodontics to join our practice. She loves the new opportunities afforded to her helping patients improve the health of their teeth and gums. Amber is a native of Windsor, CO. She has been married to Will, who is active duty army, since 2013.  They have one daughter, Sienna. In addition to motherhood, she loves spending time with her nieces and nephew especially attending competitive cheerleading competitions to support her niece.

Teresa
Registered Dental Assistant

Since 2012, Teresa has been helping our patients smile more. She loves her coworkers, and says working with an outstanding team makes her job easy. Teresa has worked in the Savannah medical community since 1990, and is a native of Savannah. She and her husband, John, have been happily married for 31 years, and they have one child, John Jr. who is 27. Teresa enjoys cooking, entertaining for family and friends, outdoor water sports, concerts, and reading best sellers. She also enjoys gardening around her home that was won with a St. Jude’s raffle ticket!

Jan
Administrative Assistant

For nearly 40 years, Jan has been the friendly face that welcomes everyone to the office. She joined our practice in 2004, and loves getting to know our patients. Jan has a BS in education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, and earned her AS in dental hygiene from Dekalb College. Jan grew up in Bermuda, and loves to travel. She has been happily married for more than 40 years, and she and her husband have a golden retriever rescue who keeps them busy. When she’s not entertaining for family and friends or working in her 2.5 acre yard, Jan enjoys curling up with a good book.

Mendy
Registered Dental Hygienist

With almost three decades of dental experience, Mendy joined our practice in 2015. She enjoys being a hygienist because of all the fascinating stories she hears from the people she treats. Mendy received her dental hygiene degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and has completed hours of continuing education annually for the past 26 years. Mendy is a Savannah native, and has been happily married for 19 years. She has two teenaged children, loves sewing, and reading. Mendy was adopted, but has been lucky enough to find out some interesting information about her ancestry. This year, she discovered that her lineage is Irish and Scandinavian.

Amy
Registered Dental Hygienist

Amy entered the dental field in 1989, and has been helping patients restore and maintain their oral health ever since. She joined our practice in 2013, and patients love how hard Amy works to understand their smile goals and help them achieve their desired results. Amy studied dental hygiene at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where she was roommates with Mendy, our other hygienist. She has certification from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers which includes CPR and AED training and certification. She is also CDC and OSHA safety trained, and has attended numerous dental training and education courses over the years. Amy is a native of Savannah, and she and her husband, Lee have 5 children.She’s a low country native, and her grandparents lived on Daufuskie Island.

Patti
Registered Dental Hygienist

Since 2008, Patti has helped patients have cleaner, more beautiful smile. She loves working with patients to improve their oral health. Patti studied dental hygiene at Armstrong Atlantic University. Originally from Pompano Beach, FL, Patti enjoys SCUBA diving, going to the beach, cooking, and caring for all kinds of animals. She loves rescuing new pets, is a bee keeper, and has two Rhode Island Red chickens, Thelma and Louise.

Jessica
Dental Assistant

Jessica joined our team with more than a decade of experience as a dental assistant in a general dentistry practice. She is excited about the new challenges of working within a periodontal practice, and getting to learn new things and meet new people every day. Her passion is making people feel comfortable and restoring their smile confidence. Jessica holds an associate’s degree from Illinois Central College, and she planned to pursue an education in dental hygiene. While waiting to enter a hygiene program, she was offered a job as an assistant, fell in love, and has been working as an assistant ever since.

A native of Morton, IL, Jessica is happily married to Jim, and they have a dog named Duke. When she has free time, she enjoys cooking, working out, and trying new restaurants and fun beers with her husband.

Bethany

Bethany graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. This is her first experience working in dentistry, and she has jumped in feet first getting to know our patients and practice.

Bethany is newly married to Garret Duron, a medical student at the Mercer University School of Medicine. Together, they enjoy going on long walks, trying out new local restaurants, and planning their next big adventure!
